Believe

*“Because you have believed…”

“Then Jesus said to the Roman officer, “Go back home. Because you believed, it has happened.” And the young servant was healed that same hour.”

Because you have believed….those words are so important!  When we pray and talk to Jesus about our deepest needs, do we believe wholeheartedly that He is able?

Our faith is so important in our prayers!  Do we have strong faith in our awesome God when we pray?  Do we believe results will come?

“Then he touched their eyes and said, “Because of your faith, it will happen.””

 As we pray, do we pray expectantly?  Do we claim God’s promise to do more than we could ask or imagine?  

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”

He knows our hearts, our thoughts, the condition of our faith, and He knows how we see Him!  

“But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind.”

When you pray, if you find yourself struggling to believe that God can accomplish what you are asking of Him, pray about that, too. Ask God to strengthen your faith and your trust in Him.  Your loving Heavenly Father will hear your request and He is faithful!

““What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.” The father instantly cried out, “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!””

The Bible gives us a clear picture of who our God is. As we read His Word, we see Him more clearly. As we see Him for who He really is, we trust Him more completely.  Our faith grows as we see God’s faithfulness over every circumstance in our lives!  May it be said of us…”Because you have believed…”

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.”
