When you read my blog, I hope you know I’m reading my Bible and where I’m reading at any given time but even more, I hope you can see that God’s Spirit is at work orchestrating the lessons He’s prepared first for me and also for you. I hope you see that God’s Word is accessible. You do not need a degree or even a diploma to come to the table and enjoy the richest of feasts in the Word of God.
David said it best.
“Taste and see that the Lord is good.
Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!”
Psalms 34:8 NLT
https://bible.com/bible/116/psa.34.8.NLT
“The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul.
The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are clear, giving insight for living.
Reverence for the Lord is pure, lasting forever.
The laws of the Lord are true; each one is fair.
They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold.
They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb.
They are a warning to your servant, a great reward for those who obey them.”
Psalms 19:7-11 NLT

When we study the scriptures in light of the Holy Spirit, what you and I receive is not purely for our own edification or enjoyment. It is primarily for our sanctification- our holiness- so that God may accomplish His kingdom purposes in and through us. He supplies the willing worker with everything necessary to do His will.
“Everything we could ever need for life and godliness has already been deposited in us by his divine power.
For all this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of knowing him who has called us by name and invited us to come to him through a glorious manifestation of his goodness.
As a result of this, he has given you magnificent promises that are beyond all price, so that through the power of these tremendous promises we can experience partnership with the divine nature, by which you have escaped the corrupt desires that are of the world.
So devote yourselves to lavishly supplementing your faith with goodness, and to goodness add understanding, and to understanding add the strength of self-control, and to self-control add patient endurance, and to patient endurance add godliness, and to godliness add mercy toward your brothers and sisters, and to mercy toward others add unending love.
Since these virtues are already planted deep within, and you possess them in abundant supply, they will keep you from being inactive or fruitless in your pursuit of knowing Jesus Christ more intimately.
But if anyone lacks these things, he is blind, constantly closing his eyes to the mysteries of our faith, and forgetting his innocence—for his past sins have been washed away.
For this reason, beloved ones, be eager to confirm and validate that God has invited you to salvation and claimed you as his own.
If you do these things, you will never stumble.”

Everything we could ever need for life and godliness has already been deposited in us by his divine power. Everything excludes nothing. Think about it. You have a spiritual bank account with an inexhaustible balance. There is nothing you will ever need that He has not already supplied. Everything is stored up for your use at exactly the moment you will need it.
When David desired to build a house for the Lord, God declared his intention good but instructed him that he would not be the one to accomplish the task. Since David was a man of war, the temple would be constructed by a man of peace, David’s son, Solomon. (I Chronicles 22:7-10)
“David said, “My son Solomon is still young and inexperienced.
And since the Temple to be built for the Lord must be a magnificent structure, famous and glorious throughout the world, I will begin making preparations for it now.”
So David collected vast amounts of building materials before his death.”
1 Chronicles 22:5 NLT

Solomon’s Temple would be a wonder unequalled in its day. David made preparations and instructed Solomon to “seek the Lord with all your heart and soul” (I Chronicles 22:19) so that he could accomplish the monumental task ahead. Solomon left the same instruction for his sons and for us so that we, too, can accomplish the kingdom-sized feats assigned to us.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT

Jesus followed up with this command:
“Remain in me, and I will remain in you.
For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.
Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches.
Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit.
For apart from me you can do nothing.”
John 15:4-5 NLT

“We are all called to be faithful; some are called to be faithful in troubled and declining times.
One dare not measure Jeremiah’s ministry by how many people he convinced, how many disasters he averted, or how many revivals he experienced.
One must measure his ministry by whether or not he was faithful to God, by whether or not God was pleased with him.
And so, finally, it is with each of us.”

“But the Lord’s plans stand firm forever; his intentions can never be shaken.”
Psalms 33:11 NLT
https://bible.com/bible/116/psa.33.11.NLT
“No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit.
And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us.
When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom.
Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual truths.
But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit.
It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means.
Those who are spiritual can evaluate all things, but they themselves cannot be evaluated by others.
For, “Who can know the Lord’s thoughts? Who knows enough to teach him?”
But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ.”
1 Corinthians 2:11-16 NLT
